work/live/play/breathe
I find personal manifestos a lot like the body: a seemingly concrete entity that is in fact made of ever transforming essences. Therefore, I aim not to sum up my existence and life's goals in a few concise sentences to attract cookie cutter recruitment prospects but wish to harmoniously create a virtual canvas collecting the life experiences that inspire me to work, live, play and breathe for whomever decides to read them.
was once asked, if i were a dessert///
three balls of the following gelati:
I'd be one ball green tea///to symbolize the majority of my life spent in Greater China (18 years: Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Taipei)//
I'd be one ball vanilla with chocolate chips///to symbolize my Western half of Danish/Dutch/Swiss origin, the country of which I hold a passport (USA) and other cities I've lived in: Geneva, New York, Washington DC, Islamabad and Bangkok where I was born (the chocolate bits)//
I'd be one ball red pepper chocolate///to symbolize my other half as an aboriginal Taiwanese of the Amei tribe, also where I can attribute one of my namesakes//
Finally, I'd sprinkle it all with nuts to symbolize the insane travel I've done in my lifetime moving around...but not an over-whelming amount because there is much more travel to be had.
Oh, and serve in a large wine glass because I it just tastes different and I like to indulge in the different ways we can approach life.
